Position and Functions

The Department of Agriculture and Environment is a specialized agency under the Provincial People's Committee, performing the function of advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee in state management of the following areas: agriculture; forestry; fisheries; irrigation; disaster prevention; rural development; land management; water resources; mineral resources and geology; environment; meteorology and hydrology; climate change; surveying and mapping; remote sensing; and public services related to agriculture and the environment as prescribed by law.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment (hereinafter referred to as "the Department") has legal status, its own seal, and an independent account. It operates under the direction and management of the Provincial People's Committee while also complying with the guidance, inspection, and professional instructions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment./.
