At the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee in September, on September 18, the representative of the Department of Planning and Investment said: In the first 9 months of this year, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province decided to approve investment policies for 12 projects in the fields of hydroelectricity, trade - services, agriculture - forestry, construction materials, and residential areas with a total registered investment capital of 3,610.58 billion VND.

From the beginning of the year until now, Dien Bien province has organized 3 conferences to meet businesses and investors in the province to evaluate the implementation situation and resolve problems, difficulties and obstacles within their responsibility of State agencies, speeding up the progress of projects.

The Department of Planning and Investment has issued Investment Registration Certificates for a total of 11 projects. Cumulatively, there are 207 projects granted Investment Registration Certificates and investment policy decisions with a total registered capital of 45,722.38 billion VND, of which: 121 projects have been completed and put into operation with a total Registered capital 13,210.43 billion VND; 86 projects are being invested with a total registered capital of 32,511.95 billion VND.

Creating an open environment to attract investors, in recent times, Dien Bien province has proactively grasped the situation and taken advantage of opportunities to promote the process of recovery and socio-economic development; In particular, pay attention to establishing an open business and investment environment; Implement administrative reform well, improve local image, create more motivation and confidence in executive direction; improve the investment and business environment.

In addition, the province organized 3 conferences to meet businesses and investors in the province to evaluate the implementation situation and resolve problems, difficulties and problems within the responsibility of the agency. The State, speeding up the progress of projects, while improving the provincial competitiveness index (PCI) and provincial Green Index (PGI) in 2023, contributes to promoting the province's socio-economic development. The Department of Planning and Investment organizes a survey to assess competitiveness at the provincial department, board, sector and local level (DDCI), expected to announce the DDCI ranking results at the end of the fourth quarter of 2023./.
