A Variety of exciting activities at the Northwest Quintessence Festival – Dien Bien 2025

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province has issued a plan to organize the tourism photo exhibition “Colors of the Northwest”, a display introducing unique tourist destinations, and the Northwest Culinary Festival. These are among a series of engaging activities at the Northwest Quintessence Festival – Dien Bien 2025.

During the Bauhinia blossom season, Nam Cum village looks like a fairytale land.

According to the plan, the Northwest Quintessence Festival – Dien Bien 2025, a regional-scale event, will take place from August 29 to 31, with the participation of provinces and cities following regional integration, including: Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Son La, and Ho Chi Minh City.

The opening ceremony will be held on the morning of August 29 at 7/5 Square, Dien Bien Phu City. Specifically, the “Colors of the Northwest” tourism photo exhibition will showcase 240 photographs (size 50x70cm) that highlight the land, people, development potential, tourist attractions, and unique traditional cultural identities of the expanded Northwest region and Ho Chi Minh City.

At the booths of participating provinces, a variety of publications, materials, and video clips will be displayed, introducing tourism potential, tourism products, investment promotion projects in the tourism sector, and offering consultation and sales of tourism products and services from travel and tour businesses. The event will provide opportunities to connect with partners, promote cooperation and product development, and showcase and sell agricultural products, local specialties, and outstanding OCOP (One Commune One Product) items.

In addition, visitors can watch artisans and renowned chefs perform live culinary demonstrations and enjoy local signature dishes and beverages presented by provinces, cities, and tourism businesses.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Phu, Director of the Dien Bien Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in addition to the main event, there will also be cultural performances of traditional folk songs, dances, and music from various ethnic groups on the main stage. Tourism businesses and organizations will also introduce promotional programs for travel products and services.

In addition to the above events, there will also be a number of notable activities such as: Special art program at the opening ceremony; Street festival with the theme “Northwest Quintessence”; Cultural exchange programs; Conference on tourism promotion, marketing, and development between the Northwest region and Ho Chi Minh City./.
