It is pretty easy to get to Laos from Dien Bien through Tay Trang border gate by bus. The border cross is straight forward with no additional fee to be made because it is included in the ticket price. The road from Dien Bien to Lao is much better than it was mentioned on the internet few years ago and the scenery is still stunning.
