Comrade Le Van Luong Re-elected Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People’s Committee for the 2026–2031 Term
The First Session of the 16th Dien Bien Provincial People’s Council for the 2026 - 2031 term elected the leadership positions of the Provincial People’s Committee, including the Chairman, Vice Chairmen, and Members of the Provincial People’s Committee for the 16th tenure (2026–2031). As a result, Comrade Le Van Luong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for the 2021–2026 term, was re-elected to continue serving as Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People’s Committee for the 2026 - 2031 term.
Provincial Party Secretary Tran Tien Dung presented flowers to congratulate Comrade Le Van Luong on his re-election as Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People’s Committee.
Comrades Lo Van Cuong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for the 2021–2026 term; Nguyen Van Doat, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for the 2021–2026 term; and Nguyen Minh Phu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for the 2021–2026 term were also re-elected to continue serving as Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People’s Committee for the 2026 - 2031 term.
At the same session, the delegates of the Provincial People’s Council approved and elected 15 members of the Provincial People’s Committee for the 16th tenure, 2026 - 2031 term.
Comrade Le Van Luong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, delivered remarks upon assuming the position.
On behalf of the Provincial People’s Committee, Comrade Le Van Luong sincerely thanked the delegates of the Provincial People’s Council for their trust and confidence in electing the collective leadership of the Provincial People’s Committee and himself to continue serving as Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee. He emphasized: “This is both a great honor and a significant responsibility entrusted by the Provincial Party Committee, authorities, and people of all ethnic groups in the province. The Provincial People’s Committee and each of its members will make every effort to strictly follow the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, closely adhere to programs and action plans, continue to innovate, strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, and fulfill assigned responsibilities and authority in accordance with the law.”
Delegates cast their votes to elect the leadership positions of the Provincial People’s Committee.
He also affirmed the determination to promote collective intelligence, solidarity, and creativity while maintaining administrative discipline and order. The Provincial People’s Committee will focus on stabilizing the organizational structure, revising working regulations, assigning responsibilities, and implementing solutions to achieve the socio-economic development plan for 2026, with a targeted economic growth rate of 11 percent. The Provincial People’s Committee will further promote administrative reform, digital transformation, improve human resource quality, develop strategic infrastructure, attract investment, ensure social security, preserve the cultural identity of ethnic groups, while strengthening national defense, security, and external relations.

Comrade Le Van Luong expressed his hope to continue receiving the attention, leadership, and direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; the supervision and effective coordination of the Provincial People’s Council, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien Province, socio-political organizations, judicial bodies, and all cadres, civil servants, and public employees across the province. These efforts aim to build a strong and effective government system serving both the people and businesses, contributing positively to the overall development of the province./.
