To ensure telecommunications infrastructure and meet the communication needs of local residents, visitors, as well as press operations, telecommunications enterprises in Dien Bien Province have simultaneously deployed free Wifi systems at the venues of the Northwest Quintessence Festival – Dien Bien 2025.

According to the plan, the Festival will take place from September 19^th  - 21^st, 2025, with many special activities at 7-5 Square, Provincial Stadium, the Ceremony Ground of the Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument, Dien Bien Phu Cultural Exchange and Tourism Information Center, the Martyrs’ Temple at Dien Bien Phu Battlefield, and Vo Nguyen Giap Street (from the Ceremony Ground of the Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument to Vincom Trade Center). This large-scale event is expected to attract tens of thousands of people and visitors from inside and outside the province.

To meet connectivity needs, the Department of Science and Technology has coordinated with telecommunications enterprises including Dien Bien Telecom, Viettel Dien Bien, MobiFone Dien Bien, and FPT Telecom Dien Bien to install broadcasting and free Wifi systems at the festival venues. At the Provincial Stadium, each unit ensures a minimum of 700 devices can connect simultaneously, serving the Opening Art Program at 20:10 on September 19^th, 2025. At 7-5 Square, infrastructure supports around 700 devices simultaneously, meeting the needs of the Art Exchange Program at 20:00 on September 21^st, 2025. At the Martyrs’ Temple of Dien Bien Phu Battlefield, FPT Telecom Dien Bien provides services for about 200 devices. At the Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument, Viettel Dien Bien ensures connectivity for 500 devices. At the Cultural Exchange and Tourism Information Center, MobiFone and Dien Bien Telecom jointly provide coverage for about 300 devices.

All service points will use the same network name: Festival-Tinh-Hoa-Tay-Bac_[Enterprise Name]. The service will be available from September 19^th until the end of September 21^st, 2025. In addition, enterprises have committed to assigning on-site technical staff, ready to handle any transmission issues, ensuring smooth and stable connectivity throughout the Festival.

Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Nguyen Ba Anh, emphasized:
“Providing free Wifi coverage not only helps meet the connectivity and experience needs of visitors but also supports press and media agencies in timely reporting and promoting the image of the Northwest Quintessence Festival nationwide and internationally.”

The deployment of free Wifi at many major public locations is considered an important preparation step, showing the initiative and responsibility of the local telecommunications sector. At the same time, it demonstrates Dien Bien Province’s effort in applying technology, improving the quality of cultural and tourism events, and making the Northwest Quintessence Festival 2025 a remarkable highlight in the series of commemorative activities and in promoting Dien Bien’s image to friends and visitors from near and far./.
