Time: On the first Day of Dragon of the last month of the year of Ha Nhi people’s Calendar (usually around the end of November and the beginning of December of the solar calendar) - Location: Muong Nhe District, Dien Bien Province

Ha Nhi people often celebrate the Festival in three days during which families prepare sacrifices to invite their ancestors to enjoy the New Year, organize the fun fair, and visit and wish each other with good luck. Ha Nhi people usually make cha le  (a kind of floating cake) on the first day of the New Year to offer to their ancestors. It is considered as a starter for their ancestors when they "come home for the Festival" with their descendants. After the offering ceremony, family members can enjoy these cakes. After they dissect a pig to offer to their ancestors and make food for the Festival and entertain guests.

Ha Nhi people’s Festival takes place in a gent, warm, and bustling  atmosphere without rush. By the Festival, the traditional beauties are expressed through the people’s filial piety to their ancestors,while typical cultural are raised and aroused by simple people in the highlands.
