On January 19th, in Thanh Hoa City, Thanh Hoa Province, the People's Committee of Dien Bien Province coordinated with the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa Province to organize the opening ceremony of the Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa Cultural and Tourism Week, 2024. The opening ceremony was broadcast live on TTV channel, Thanh Hoa Radio and Television, and was also broadcasted by Dien Bien Radio and Television; at the same time, it was live streamed on digital platforms.

On Thanh Hoa province's side, there were comrades: Do Trong Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Do Minh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien Province, Vu A Bang, emphasized: "The Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa Cultural and Tourism Week in Thanh Hoa Province in 2024 is an important activity towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and the organization of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien Phu 2024. This event is also an opportunity to introduce the cultural values, tourism products of the Dien Bien Phu region to visitors and the people in general; to introduce and affirm the achievements of cooperation in various fields between Dien Bien Province and Thanh Hoa Province in particular. It also contributes to enhancing exchanges, interactions, and expanding connections, promoting investment and development between the two localities, demonstrating the cultural harmony and the solidarity between the people of Dien Bien and Thanh Hoa. At the same time, it continues to promote and strengthen the good relationship between the two localities, especially in coordinating and supporting the organization of typical activities and events of Dien Bien Province and Thanh Hoa Province."

Welcoming Dien Bien to Thanh Hoa, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung affirmed: Continuing the spirit of solidarity and unwavering love throughout the work of building and protecting the Fatherland of the two Dien Bien provinces - Thanh Hoa, Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa Culture and Tourism Week 2024 is an opportunity to introduce historical - cultural values ​​and typical tourism products of the two provinces; blend together in the space of "Cultural colors" of the ethnic groups of the Northwest region and the ethnic groups of Thanh Hoa. Through the event, once again affirmed the achievements of cooperation in all fields between Dien Bien province and Thanh Hoa province; creating many opportunities to connect cultural and tourism products, contributing to promoting links and developing tourism and economy between Dien Bien and Thanh Hoa, as well as with the whole country and internationally. Immediately after the opening ceremony, delegates, residents and tourists enjoyed the unique art program "Dien Bien, Thanh Hoa - Converging colors". The program consists of 2 parts: "Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa heroes" and "Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa, colorful convergence". Among them, there are many works imbued with the national identity of Dien Bien and Thanh Hoa provinces, bringing many emotions to the audience.
