Opening of the exhibition and promotion of cultural and tourism products and cultural experience spaces
On the evening of March 6th, at the Muong Thanh Tourism Market area in Dien Bien Phu Ward, Dien Bien Province held the opening ceremony of the exhibition, promotion and introduction of cultural and tourism products and cultural experience spaces within the framework of the 2026 Ban Flower Festival. Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Minh Phu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; representatives of provincial departments, agencies, mass organizations and localities; representatives of units, enterprises and artisans, along with a large number of residents and visitors.

According to the report of the Dien Bien Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, implementing the plan of the Provincial People’s Committee on organizing the 2026 Ban Flower Festival, the Center was assigned to take the lead and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize the exhibition and promotion of cultural and tourism products and cultural experience spaces. Immediately after receiving the assignment, the Center proactively developed a plan and coordinated with departments, sectors, localities and related units to prepare all necessary conditions for the event. Up to now, preparations have basically been completed and are ready for the activities to take place as planned.
Communication and promotion activities for the festival have been strongly implemented on digital media platforms with the participation of Dien Bien Newspaper and Radio and Television, central press agencies operating in the province, and KOLs and KOCs both inside and outside the province, helping to spread the image of the Ban Flower Festival and Dien Bien tourism destinations to a wide range of visitors.

This year’s exhibition activities attract more than 200 participating units with nearly 300 booths from 23 provinces and cities nationwide, along with communes and wards within the province participating in the traditional cultural display spaces. The active participation of units, localities, enterprises and organizations demonstrates the strong influence of the 2026 Ban Flower Festival.
According to the plan, the exhibition activities take place from March 6th to March 12th, 2026, featuring a variety of activities such as experiences of traditional crafts, introduction of typical cuisine, performances of folk songs and dances, cultural and artistic exchanges, and interactive activities serving residents and visitors. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to explore and purchase many typical products and specialties from Dien Bien Province and other localities across the country.
Notably, on March 10th, the Organizing Committee will conduct evaluations of the traditional cultural display spaces of communes and wards in order to honor unique cultural values and encourage the creative spirit of localities.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Minh Phu, Vice Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People’s Committee emphasized that Dien Bien is not only a historic land associated with the resounding Dien Bien Phu Victory but also possesses a rich cultural treasure of 19 ethnic groups. The exhibition and promotion of cultural and tourism products and cultural experience spaces is an important highlight of the 2026 Ban Flower Festival, contributing to honoring traditional cultural values, promoting distinctive local products, and fostering the development of tourism, trade and the cultural economy.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive efforts of departments, sectors and localities in organizing the event, and expressed sincere appreciation for the participation and support of provinces, cities, enterprises, cooperatives, craft villages and artisans who have brought diverse and culturally rich exhibition spaces representing various regions.
