Phan Tran Linh Dan Crowned Miss Ban Flower 2025
On the morning of March 19, a delegation from the French Development Agency (AFD) in Vietnam, led by Mr. Hervé Conan, AFD’s Country Director in Vietnam, had a working session with Dien Bien Province. The meeting focused on summarizing a recent workshop, reviewing the prerequisites and special commitments related to project funding, and discussing progress on key water management and climate adaptation projects in the province.

From March 2 to March 16, the Miss Ban Flower 2025 pageant unfolded with excitement, attracting numerous contestants from Dien Bien and other provinces across Vietnam. The competition gained significant attention from local residents and tourists attending the Ban Flower Festival 2025.
Nineteen contestants from Dien Bien, Son La, Lai Chau, and Phu Tho were selected to compete in the final rounds. During the competition, they had the opportunity to showcase their beauty, explore the rich history and culture of Dien Bien Phu, and participate in various social and charity activities. The pageant featured multiple award categories, including: Miss Beautiful Face; Best Ao Dai Performance; Best Ethnic Costume Performance; Best Swimsuit Performance; Photogenic Beauty; Miss Talent; Miss Friendly Personality.
During the final night, 19 contestants competed in three rounds: Traditional Ethnic Costume Performance; Swimsuit Performance; Evening Gown Performance. Based on the scores from these rounds, the judges selected the top five contestants for the Q&A round, where they answered questions from the jury. This was a crucial moment for contestants to demonstrate their knowledge, public speaking skills, and intellectual charm.
With her grace, intelligence, and exceptional performance, Phan Tran Linh Dan (No. 72) from Dien Bien Phu City won the title of Miss Ban Flower 2025. The first runner-up was Vu Thao Van (No. 39, Department of Education and Training, Dien Bien Province), and the second runner-up was Doan Thi Dieu Huyen (No. 69, Tua Chua District).
Held for the fourth time in Dien Bien, the Miss Ban Flower pageant celebrates the beauty, intelligence, and spirit of Vietnamese women, inspired by the symbolic Ban Flower - a cultural emblem of the Dien Bien and Northwest region. The pageant also plays a vital role in promoting traditional ethnic cultures, boosting tourism, and contributing to the socio-economic development of Dien Bien and the Northwest region.
As the newly crowned Miss Ban Flower 2025, Phan Tran Linh Dan will serve as the cultural ambassador for Dien Bien and the Northwest, representing the region to both domestic and international audiences.
The success of Miss Ban Flower 2025 also marked the conclusion of the Ban Flower Festival 2025 and the 8th Dien Bien Provincial Festival of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. The event, held from March 13 to March 16, featured vibrant activities rich in ethnic traditions, bringing the charm of Dien Bien, the Northwest, and the Ban Flower to a broader audience.
