Position and Functions

The Office of the People's Committee of Dien Bien Province is a specialized agency under the People's Committee of Dien Bien Province. It serves as an advisory, assisting, and service body for the operations of the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and the Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee of Dien Bien.

The Office of the Provincial People's Committee functions as an advisory body, assisting the Provincial People's Committee in the following areas: developing programs and work plans for the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman, and the Vice Chairmen; controlling administrative procedures; organizing and implementing the one-stop and interconnected one-stop mechanisms in handling administrative procedures under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee; organizing, managing, and publishing official information regarding the activities of the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman, and the Vice Chairmen; serving as the focal point for the provincial e-portal and connecting the electronic administrative information system to support the leadership, direction, and administration of the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman, and the Vice Chairmen; managing the official gazette and facilitating the general activities of the Provincial People's Committee; assisting the Chairman and Vice Chairmen in performing their duties and exercising their powers; and managing the internal administration of the Office of the Provincial People's Committee.

The Office of the Provincial People's Committee has legal personality, its own seal, and aaccount at State Treasury. It operates under the direction and management of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee regarding its organization, staffing, and operations while also complying with the professional guidance, inspection, and supervision of the Office of the Government.
